Jung Lee, DMD , Partner
Dr. Jung Lee is our partner provider and has been serving the Alpharetta community since 2013 right here at Stonewalk Family Dentistry. She received her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Emory University in Atlanta, GA and her dental degree at Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry in Augusta, GA.
She continued her training by completing General Practice Residency (GPR) at Jacobi Medical Center in Bronx, New York.
Dr. Lee loves all aspects of general dentistry, but cosmetic dentistry to help improve confidence and patient education promoting good oral health habits are her primary focus on patient care. Her goals are to provide compassionate, appropriate, and quality dental care for all her patients. She truly believes educating her patients on the importance of preventative dental care ranges from physical health benefits to improved social interaction is essential. She feels she is a very good communicator and can easily relate to other people. She earns patients’ trust through patience and time. Compassion and empathy are key items she always tries to practice, both personally and professionally.
Dr. Lee enjoys dentistry because she feels it’s a way to serve the community through promoting oral health as a primary care service and reduce fear and anxiety associated with traditional dentistry. It also allow her to develop rapport and build relationships with patients who she comes to love.
When not practicing dentistry, Dr. Lee enjoys traveling, trying new restaurants, outdoor music concerts and venues. She also speaks Korean and her latest endeavor is learning Spanish and playing piano. Please come join us and meet our entire Stonewalk team! Dr. Rina Metha
Dr. Mehta grew up in the Northwest suburbs of Chicago and graduated from the school of dental medicine at SIUE-SDM in 2001. She continues to enhance her dental skills each year with continuing education courses and is a member of several notable dental organizations.
Practicing for over 22 years, Dr. Mehta provides excellent chairside manner and places patient comfort first. She ensures that her patients understand all treatment options offered to them. Her gentle touch and calm approach will help overcome any dental anxiety you may have.
Abtin Shahriari, DMD, MPH , Oral Surgeon
Dr. Shahriari completed his undergraduate training at Emory University with a BS in biology. After receiving his Masters in Public Health from Emory University in Epidemiology and International Health, Dr. Shahriari worked for the CDC for three years. He also served as a consultant to the World Health Organization for eradication of the polio virus in Bihar, India. He received his DMD from the University of Pennsylvania with multiple awards for his research and volunteer work in Songea, Tanzania. He received his specialty certification in oral and maxillofacial surgery from Emory University.
As a result of his extensive research and academic interests, Dr. Shahriari has presented multiple articles at national and international meetings. He is actively engaged in research projects involving different aspects of maxillofacial surgery. He speaks three languages (English, Spanish and Persian) and believes that the most important and rewarding part of his work is the care of his patients. His philosophy is to approach treatment through the perspective of the patient, emphasizing that good communication is essential for exceptional care and a trusting, long-lasting relationship.
Outside of his professional life, Dr. Shahriari enjoys traveling, swimming and losing ping pong matches to Dr. Toub. Most importantly, Dr. Shahriari enjoys spending time with his family.
